Comments:
This bridge replaced one lost in the 1869 flood. Richard Sanders Allen's notes mentioned that this bridge may have been lost in 1934. Coordinates are at an approximate location of the bridge. Per the Brattleboro Reformer, June 4, 1954, the old covered bridge near Gates Mill was torn down 25 years earlier (June, 1929).
