Comments:
Per the Vermont Watchman and State Journal (Montpelier), September 4, 1889, "Waitsfield. - The new covered bridge near Edwin House's is nearly finished, and will be ready for use as soon as the filling at the ends is done." Per The Burlington Free Press, July 20, 1904, "The frame to the new covered bridge across the river near George Ford's was raised last week, and is partially covered." The residents living near George Ford for the 1900 census suggest his location near the crossing south of Irasville.
