Comments:
The bridge was built by Robert R. Robbins to access land beyond it. The structure’s footings and framework were built in 1962 and the siding added in 1964. During construction, the trusses were built on the ground nearby and lifted into position by a crane. Steel beans were put under the deck in 1990, along with other restoration work. The bridge is a replica of Old Bridge (VT/45-12-77x), once located about one hundred yards downstream, which was destroyed in the flood of November 4, 1927.
