Comments:
Early images show the double barrel highway bridge and the covered railroad bridge downstream. Per the St. Albans Daily Messenger, March 8, 1876, "Just as we go to press we learn that the covered highway bridge over the Lamoille, at East Georgia, has been carried away bodily by the ice this afternoon, and now lies upon the large island just below the railroad bridge." A later image from the area from 1908 shows a covered bridge, but it is no longer double barrel, so the bridge was replaced as a covered bridge after the 1876 loss.
