Comments:
County Bridge #11. Per Old Covered Bridge Days of Greene County by Earle Robert Forrest (1953), the bridge was over Muddy Creek at Carmichaels Borough, on Route 21 east of Waynesburg was built in 1889 to replace an earlier btifge built in 1845 at the site. It is a queenpost with a length of 64.1 feet (60.4 feet between abutments). A second covered bridge was noted to have been at Carmichaels, but it had been replaced several years prior with a concrete bridge (-42?).
