Wills Creek Bridge, Franklin, Coshocton County, OH Built 1881/82 Lost 1922
Todd Clark Collection
Comments:
Within months of completion of the bridge the 16-panel "Buckingham" Kingpost truss was requiring structural improvements. Iron rods were installed. Then, in 1883 and arch was added. The bridge then resembled a Burr Truss, though the arches were seated on the lower chord rahter than in the abutments as a true Burr would require.
