Comments:
[6-16N-8W]. 16-panel truss. The West Union Bridge has a noticeable arch along the roofline. Three bridges have existed at this location. The first was the Star Mills Bridge. The second one, the Harrison Bridge, was damaged by flooding in 1876. The West Union Bridge was built to replace it and the Harrison Bridge may have still been standing at the time. The bridge was bypassed in 1964. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and was named a National Historic Landmark in 2016.
