Comments:
"Windham County's Famous Covered Bridges" lists this bridge as a Town lattice structure built in 1867. A truck owned by Roger Farnsworth Construction Co. of Westminster Station loaded with stone, weighing 30 tons sent the Hall's Bridge crashing into the Saxtons River. The bridge was posted for 10 tons. The driver miraculously escaped injury as he jumped through the window of the cab of the truck and ran up the other side of the bridge a few seconds before the midsection splintered and gave way. A new covered bridge was built at this location by Milton Graton in 1982.
