Comments:
According to Robert L. Hagerman’s “Covered Bridges of Lamoille County”, The bridge was built by George S. Mills in 1868. It was supported by queenpost trusses built of hand-hewn timbers and a secondary span framed with sawn timbers in post-and beam construction. By the time the National Register nomination was submitted, the bridge had deteriorated to the point where it was threatened with demolition. The bridge collapsed in January 1982 possibly due to an overweight truck.
